Sponsorship: The sponsor is Country Club Golf, LLC (Doing business as “Van Patten Golf Club”), located at 924 Main Street, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Sponsor will conduct The Cooley Kill Cash Classic substantially as described in these Official Rules.
Tournament Date & Entry Period: The Cooley Kill Cash Classic will take place on Friday, October 7, 2022. Check-in at 9:00 AM. Shotgun start at 10:00 AM. Luncheon begins at 3:00 PM. The tournament will end following all teams' completion of the 18 designated holes. To be eligible for the Cooley Kill Cash Classic, entries must be received by October 1, 2022.
Rain Date: There will be no rain date for The Cooley Kill Cash Classic. The Cooley Kill Cash Classic will proceed in the event of rain. In the event of severe weather that may threaten the safety of players or staff, the tournament will be delayed until safe playing conditions are established. All entries are non-refundable.
Eligibility: The Cooley Kill Cash Classic is open to legal residents of the United States of America. Entrants must be 18 years or older as of their date of entry in this promotion in order to qualify. The Cooley Kill Cash Classic is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law.
Agreement to Rules: By entering this Cooley Kill Cash Classic, the Entrant (“You”) agrees to abide by the Sponsor's Official Rules and decisions, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserve the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. By entering this Cooley Kill Cash Classic, You acknowledge that You are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the Official Rules. You also agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of the Cooley Kill Cash Classic.
Skills Contest: THE COOLEY KILL CASH CLASSIC IS A SKILLS-BASED CONTEST; NOT A GAME OF CHANCE. NO ELEMENT OF CHANCE IS INVOLVED.

Teams of Two will compete over a designated 18 holes of golf

Each player plays their own ball off the tee

Each player plays from the teeing area on each hole, one of the tee shots is selected and all the players play their second shots from that spot. One of the second shots is then selected, and all players play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.

The ball may be played within one club length no closer to the hole. The ball must remain in the same condition. (Ex. Rough, Fairway, Fringe, Green)

Entrants after 144 players will be put on a waitlist in the event of dropouts. Waitlist registration will be contacted in the order in which it was received.
Determining Winner: All entrants will compete on the same playing field. All entry scorecards will be reviewed and winners will be determined by the lowest score. Scorecards will be handed to Van Patten Golf Club’s Head Golf Professional, Adam Panagopoulos, to review and finalize the results. Winners will be announced during the luncheon.
Tie Breaker: Ties for first place will resolve in a sudden death playoff with a 3-hole max. If after 3 holes no winner is determined, the remaining tied teams will split the placement prize money equally among players.
Final Placements: Team scores will be displayed in the Van Patten Pro Shop following the event. The player is not officially registered for the event until registration payment has been received.
Maximum Cost to Participant: The cost of entering the tournament is $125 per player or $250 per team.
Prizes: $7,500 total in cash and prizes are based upon full participation in the event. Prizes are subject to modification depending on the final number of registrants. Winners will be determined upon the conclusion of the event on October 7, 2022. With a full field of players, the tournament prizes are as follows:

The winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes related to the prize. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from Country Club Golf LLC., (DBA “Van Patten Golf Club”) will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS. The winner must provide a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded.
The prize(s) shall be determined solely by the Sponsor. The prize is non-transferable. The Winner shall not transfer assignment of the prize to others nor shall the Winner request the cash equivalent or prize substitution. By accepting the prize, the selected Winner grants permission for the Sponsor to use the Winner’s likeness, entry, and name for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

Rights Granted by You: By entering the Cooley Kill Cash Classic tournament, You understand and agree that the Sponsor, any individual acting on the Sponsor’s behalf, and the licensees' successors, and assigns of the Sponsor shall where permitted by law, have the right to print, publish, broadcast, distribute and use in any media known now or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, worldwide, and without limitation, your submission, name, photo, portrait, voice, likeness, image, statements about The Cooley Kill Cash Classic, and your biographical information for news, publicity, advertising, promotional purposes, trade, information, and public relations without any further notice, review, consent, compensation, or remuneration.
Terms & Conditions: In its sole discretion, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Cooley Kill Cash Classic should non-authorized human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud, weather, or other causes beyond the Sponsor’s control, impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the Cooley Kill Cash Classic.
Limitation of Liability: Your entry into the Cooley Kill Cash Classic constitutes Your agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly from participation in the Cooley Kill Cash Classic and/or the:
1) Winner accepting, possessing, using, or misusing of any awarded prize or any portion thereof;
2) any type of technical failure;
3) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service; 4) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; 5) electronic error or human error in the Promotion administration or the processing of entries.
Disputes: THIS COOLEY KILL CASH CLASSIC IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE STATE OF NEW YORK, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. The Entrant agrees, as a condition of participating in this promotion, that if any disputes cannot be resolved between the Entrant and the Sponsor, and if causes of action arise out of or are connected with this Cooley Kill Cash Classic, they shall be individually resolved exclusively before a court located in New York State having jurisdiction, without resorting to any form of class action. Under no circumstances in any such dispute shall the participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Cooley Kill Cash Classic). The participant waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
